Bio Information:

Sharon contracted bone cancer when she was seven years old, affecting the strength and movement on her left side. She was initially given a 20% chance of survival, however went into remission a year after beginning chemotherapy and radiotherapy.

She began competitive riding in 1993 where she competed in able-bodied events, it wasn’t until 2006 that she competed in a disabilities event.

Jarvis qualified and finished fourth at the 2008 Beijing Paralympics, before missing out on London 2012 after her horse fell lame with selection having looked all but assured.

In 2010 Sharon was named the Equimac Rider of the Year and in 2011 was awarded the Equestrian Rider of the Year.

Sharon currently works as a horse riding coach and a horse feed sales rep.
