Brock works as a driller and blaster which led to him acquiring his disability after he was involved in a work place accident, in which he lost a finger and was left with limited use of the remaining three.

Following his accident, Brock took up para-canoe, which saw him represent Australia in four World Championships.

The IPC made the decision to remove Ingram’s class from the canoeing events at Rio 2016, which had looked to have ended his Paralympic hopes. Ingram however, received an invitation to trial in para-rowing and hasn’t looked back since.

Brock participated with the LTA Mixed Coxed Four crew in the 2016 Final Paralympic Qualification Regatta where the Australians won and secured their place for Rio 2016 in the process.
