Shaun was hit by a car whilst riding his bike
when he was four-years-old which resulted in a spinal-cord injury and him
becoming paraplegic from the waist down.
When he was ten-years-old Norris moved from
Brisbane to Perth, where he took up
wheelchair sports, in particular taking a liking to wheelchair basketball.
Norris made his Australian debut five years
after, taking up the sport, aged just 15-years-old, in 2000.
Since his debut Shaun has attended three
Paralympic Games winning gold and two silver in a long running saga with Canada.
He currently plays for the Perth Wheelcats
whilst in the past he has also played professionally in both Italy and Spain.
