Bio Information:

Brant began running after his sister was diagnosed with three types of cancer aged just 14-years-old.

He attended his first International event in 2013, the Para-triathlon World Championships.

Garvey was the first above knee amputee athlete to have completed an Ironman, whilst he has also completed the Rottnest Channel swim five times.

Brant is a multi-talented athlete, having initially aimed to become a Paralympic swimmer. On top of this, he was a highly successful wheelchair basketballer, winning five Australian Wheelchair Basketball Championships with the Perth Wheelcats as well as playing professionally in Spain for two years.

Garvey currently works as a professional speaker along with working for Zero2Hero, an organisation which aims to empower young children with mental health issues.
