14 WAIS scholarship holders will represent Western Australia at the 2022 Hockey Australia U21 Championships at Perth Hockey Stadium, July 20-27.
With 18 caps to her name Jolie Sertorio will captain the women’s team as they line up in pool C against New South Wales Blue, Tasmania and Victoria. She will be joined by Britney de Silva, Neasa Flynn, Jade Vanderzwan, Lou-Ellen Edwards, Belle Ramshaw, Ella Du Preez and Saysha Pillay
“It’s really exciting to be able to play in front of a home crowd. I think it will just drive us to perform at our best which hopefully has a positive effect on the group,” Vanderzwan said.

In the men’s competition Brodee Foster, Cambell Geddes, Oliver Higgins, Hamish Adamson, Tom Keating and Max Freedman play in pool C and will face the Northern Territory and South Australia.
“It’s a bit of a privilege to be able to play in front of a home crowd which we haven’t had a chance to do before on the national stage,” Foster said.
