Caitlin Parker makes winning start to 2019 Boxing World Championships

Caitlin Parker has made a strong start to the 2019 AIBA Elite Women’s World Championships in Ulan Ude, Russia.

In her opening preliminary match Parker was too strong for Davina Michel of France taking the win in a 5-0 decision to open her competition in the 75kg middleweight class.

Next up for Parker is seed number five Sennur Demir from Turkmenistan in her second preliminary match, which will take place on October 8 from 6PM Perth time.



Fellow West Australian Kaila Riley lost her opening preliminary in the 48kg light fly weight class.
