Western Australian Cole Durant and beach volleyball partner Zachery Schubert have walked away with gold at the Alcohol. Think Again WA Beach Volleyball Open after an impressive run.
Not dropping a set, the pairing showed excellent form throughout the whole tournament.
The grand final saw them take on Western Australian pair Mark van Winsen and Jayson Fox, winning 21-17, 21-16.
Their win on the West Coast follows a mix of results from earlier in the season.
After winning the NSW Open and coming second in South Australia, the pair fell short at Surfers Paradise exiting the competition in the quarters finals.
Durant and Schubert will now return to their training base in Adelaide, at Volleyball Australia’s High Performance Centre, where they will prepare for a FIVB World Tour event next month.
The event will be held in Shepparton, Victoria where teams from all over the globe will come to compete.
