Perth Glory recorded a club record 10-1 win over the Western Sydney Wanderers in their Round 4 W-League win last weekend.

WAIS athlete Kate Gill scored half her team’s goals, including an 11 minute hat-trick, to add to braces by Sam Kerr (WAIS) and Caitlin Foord as well as an Alanna Kennedy header.

The scoreline takes on an even more remarkable context given it took until the 45thminute to break the deadlock. A delightful corner from captain Collette McCallum found Sam Kerr at the back post who made no mistake with the finish.

Only a minute later and the Glory had doubled their lead. Again, McCallum was the provider as Kerr grabbed her second, heading past Khamis.

In the 49th Glory made it 3-0, as Marianna Tabain crossed for Kate Gill who scored her first of the day.

The home side got a life line in the 51st minute when Carney crossed for Helen Petinos who scored a wonderful volley across the keeper and into the back of the net.

Only two minutes later though and it was 4-1 for the away side. Khamis saved well from a Kerr shot but Gill was on hand to turn in the rebound.

The frantic start to the half continued only a minute later as Caitlin Foord powered the ball into the top corner for a fifth goal to the Glory.

In the 60th minute, Gill completed an 11 minute hat-trick as she got her head onto a Kerr cross, beating Khamis in goal.

In the 69th minute, Gill added a fourth after rounding Khamis and slotted the ball into an empty net.

With just over 15 minutes to go, Alanna Kennedy scored against her former club, heading in from a free kick.

Gill then had her fifth with 12 minutes remaining, Shannon May finding the assist.

The tall striker turned provider in the 86thminute as Foord scored her teams 10th goal, taking them into double figures.

Next week the Glory welcomes Canberra United to the West while the Wanderers travel to Brisbane to tackle the Roar.
