Published On: 21 June 2011

While the Hockeyroos are preparing for the 2011 Champions Trophy in the Netherlands, the next generation of star players will be looking to prove themselves during a week long AIS camp held in Canberra this week.

In addition to the training program, the players will get valuable match practice as the 37 players attending will be split into two teams to compete in three matches during the camp.

The two teams, Australia A and the Jillaroos (under 21s) will be made up of some of the best hockey talent in the country and will include seven current Hockeyroos squad members in the Australia A team (Teneal Attard, Fiona Boyce (WAIS), Holly Evans, Bianca Greenshields, Stacia Joseph, Georgia Nanscawen and Elise Stacy).

WAIS will also be represented at the AIS camp by Hockeyroos capped goalkeeper Kate Hubble and youngster Katy Symons, who will be in the Jillaroos set up, after recently impressing in the AHL competition.
