The Hockeyroos have been unable to reproduce their winning form again Great Britain, drawing 1-1 over the weekend in England.

Having put four goals past the hosts in the first match between the two rivals, Australia had been fancied to take a clean sweep of the two test series.

Things began well for the Hockeyroos, with Captain Madonna Blyth making Great Britain pay for a costly turn over in the midfield to score the opening goal of the match at the 21 minute mark.

However some poor defensive work allowed Great Britain to generate nine penalty corners throughout the match, with Great Britain converting one of these attempts at the 44 minute mark to level the game.

Despite some opportunities for either side, the deadlock was not ultimately threatened, with the Hockeyroos now left to focus on the remainder of the European Tour.

Goalkeeper Rachael Lynch and AIS-WAIS defender Kobie McGurk were amongst the best players for the Hockeyroos who will now travel to Germany to compete in a 4 nations tournament against Germany, India and Ireland.
