WAIS scholarship holders Leah Parry and Leigh Godfrey have been selected in the 2021 Travelodge Aussie Spirit squad, with final selection for the Olympic Team to be made later in the year.
Softball had been waiting 12 years to return to the Olympic stage and the postponement pushed that to 13 with Parry and Godfrey ready to pull on the green and gold in Tokyo.
The 23-member squad has been selected with an eye on Olympic success in Tokyo. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, Softball Australia elected to cancel the National Selection Camp, replacing it with the 2021 Travelodge Aussie Spirit Training Camp.
Parry and Godfrey will attend a training camp February 18 – March 7 at the Australian Institute of Sport in Canberra.
