Meyer Brothers Compete in Giro delle Regioni
WAIS cyclists Cameron and Travis Meyer have both placed in the top twenty of the Giro delle Regioni (Italy) after the six stage tour wrapped up on 1 May.
Cameron Meyer finished the tour with an impressive second place finish in the sixth and final stage, a 140km route from San Giovanni Valdarno to Firenze-San Bartolo a Cintoia, which included two tough climbs in last 35 kilometres.
Meyer placed 14th overall, 2:42m behind eventual winner Vitaly Buts from the Ukraine.
Meyer’s younger brother Travis Meyer also finished the tour strongly, claiming fourth in the final stage and taking 17th position overall, 4:14m behind Buts.
