We’re thrilled to announce Brant Garvey as our Talent ID and Pathway Manager for the new WAIS Para Unit.
Brant is a Paralympian, an ironman, and a game-changer.
Born as an above-knee amputee, Brant made history as the first Australian above-knee amputee to complete a full Ironman triathlon, before debuting paratriathlon for Australia at the Rio 2016 Paralympics.
He’s competed in wheelchair basketball, swimming, and triathlon – and now, he’s turning his focus to discovering and developing the next generation of WA Paralympians on the road to LA 2028 and Brisbane 2032.
Brant’s own journey is proof of what’s possible when opportunity meets belief.
As he puts it, “Sport doesn’t just build athletes – it builds identity, purpose, and belonging.” His goal is to help as many Western Australians with a disability as possible, find their sport, their people, and their spark.
Welcome to the team, Brant.
We can’t wait to see who you uncover in Para Sport!
