WAIS graduate and Rio bronze medallist Taylor Worth is the lone Australian archer left in action in Tokyo in the individual event.

Worth commenced his individual campaign with a decisive straight sets victory over Alviyanto Pratsyadi (INA), where he shot four tens and five nines.

An hour later to managed to win a close five set match over Shaoxuan Wei (CHN) to the next round.

“It’s part one and two of the job, but I’ve still got a lot more to do,” Worth said.

“I’m happy with my shooting now, I wish I could have had this feeling a few days ago with the team and I apologise to them for that. I’ve just got to keep it simple going forward.”
