Four WAIS athletes have been named in the Australian women’s Water Polo squad preparing to compete in the FINA world league preliminary round in Tianjin, China.
Athens Olympian Emma Knox, along with Gemma Beadsworth, Katie Finucane and Gemma Hadley all earned selection for the up coming matches against Japan, New Zealand, Iran and China.
Australia is expected to qualify through to the super finals of the tournament which are being held in Tenerife, Spain on June 10-15. The Australian Olympic team will be named in early July, with the world league considered the final chance to impress for aspiring Olympians.
