Fever Head to the Country for Clash with the GIANTS

With the opening round of the Suncorp Super Netball league quickly approaching the West Coast Fever will get their first glimpse of the opposition next Friday, the 3rd of February, when they take on GIANTS Netball in a pre-season match in Northam.

Through receiving a grant from the Department of Sport and Recreation’s Country Sport Enrichment Scheme the Fever are able to head tot he country and provide those who cannot generally come to fixtures the opportunity to experience game day first hand.

Tickets will be provided to a number of local Clubs who will fill out the Northam Recreation Centre in order to view some of Australia’s best netball action.

Netball WA CEO, Simon Taylor said “this is a fantastic result, both for our Club and our local regional supporter base.”

“The Northam community is incredibly passionate about Fever and, more broadly, the development of our game so it’s wonderful to be able to show our appreciation for their support.”

In addition to the official pre-season match, the trip to Northam will also incorporate a free clinic run by the players of both teams and en educational forum for local coaches conducted by Fever Head Coach, Stacey Marinkovich and GIANTS Netball Head Coach, Julie Fitzgerald.

The game in Northam will be the first of two pre-season matches played against GIANTS Netball, the second to be played in Perth on Sunday, the 5th of February, at HBF Stadium.
