Luke Durbridge selected for third Commonwealth Games

WAIS graduate Luke Durbridge has been selected for this third Commonwealth Games. The Delhi 2010 time trial bronze medallist is also a five-time national champion will be eyeing more success on the international stage.

He will join Caleb Ewan, Rohan Dennis, Miles Scotson and Sam Fox in the men’s road race.

“I’m really excited to join the team at this year’s Commonwealth Games. I am excited to work with a motivated exciting young group and to go for gold in the road race. I feel I can bring a lot of experience to the team and help guide our leaders to success.

“To represent your country is a great honour that I take very seriously, and I will do my best to make sure Australia comes out on top.

“I’m currently at the Tour de France which will give me a great preparation to be ready to rock in Birmingham.”

Durbridge will join fellow WAIS graduates Matt Richardson, Conor Leahy and Luke Zaccaria, who will compete on the track.
