The West Australian pair then combined together to win the Open C2 event, dominating the over the rest of the field. Maley and Jeffery recorded a time of 211.03sec which easily accounted for second placed Scott Guinea and Christopher Guinea (228.75sec).

Maley, Jeffery and another West Australian Joshua Kippin teamed up to win silver in the men’s K1 teams and bronze in the men’s C1 teams. The teams results capped off an exciting month for Kippin who also claimed a bronze medal at the Australian Youth Olympic Festival.

Kynan Maley rounded out a busy two days by partnering Rosalyn Lawrence to win gold in the mixed C2 event.
