Today at the Birmingham Games – July 31

WAIS supported athletes appeared on the podium four times across day two of competition in Birmingham. It all started with Madison de Rozario in the marathon as she defended her gold from four years ago, Zac Incerti was part of the gold medal winning men’s 4x100m freestyle relay team in the pool and Conor Leahy and Brianna Throssell both picked up bronze.

In other competition the Hockeyroos got their campaign off to a strong start beating Kenya, the Diamonds keep on rolling with a big win over Scotland, the beach volleyball is underway for Paul Burnett with a win plus boxing and basketball wins.

A busy Sunday awaits in the pool with Kieren Pollard, Holly Barratt, Zac Incerti and Josh Yong chasing medals, Matt Richardson and Luke Zaccaria feature in the velodrome, the Kookaburras start their campaign and more.
