WAIS Duo Set for Fast5 World Series

Published On: 30 October 2014

Following an undefeated 2014 international campaign, Australian netball will now turn its attention to the Fast5 Netball World Series to be held in Auckland from November 8-9.

Despite Australia’s dominance in the traditional format of the game, success has been evasive in the modified version of the game, which pits five players on court per side, with shorter quarters. Australia’s silver medal in 2013 stands as its best result to date.

The Australian Fliers – as they’re known in Fast5 competition – will include two WAIS scholarship holders, with West Coast Fever duo Kate Beveridge and Ash Brazill both set to feature in New Zealand.

The Australian Fast5 Flyers will open their Fast5 Netball World Series campaign against Jamaica on Saturday 8 November. They will also face South Africa and hosts New Zealand on the opening day of competition.

On Sunday the Flyers take on Malawi before facing traditional rival England.
