The Perth Wheelcats are on track for another successful finals charge, after defeating the Sydney Razorbacks to extend their winning streak to ten matches.

With just three games left before the Wheelcats get another shot at NWBL history, they took to the floor last weekend in their last home game for season 2010 against arch rivals the Sydney Razorbacks. The travelling Razorbacks had a difficult task ahead of them playing in Adelaide on Saturday night before taking on the Wheelcats on Sunday morning.

The visitors stunned the Wheelcats and home crowd alike early in the first quarter, trading buckets and making the Cats earn everything they got. An 8-0 run in the last minute and a half of the first set the Wheelcats up and they were never really challenged after that.

The Cats poured on the points in the second to take a 60-36 lead in to half time and while Sydney were able to stem the flow in the second half, they were never any real chance of reeling in the Wheelcats as the ran away eventual 105-72 point winners.

WAIS scholarship holder Justin Eveson led the way for the Wheelcats with a triple-double (30 points, 15 rebounds and 11 assists) while fellow WAIS athlete Shaun Norris chimed in with a lazy 38 points, 9 rebounds and 9 assists. For the visitors import Richard Nortjie had 43 points while John Mcphail also impressed with 21 points and 7 assists.

The Wheelcats now fly to Brisbane this weekend to take on the much improved Spinning Bullets for their final two games before finals.
