Coming up today the Kookaburras take on Germany for a spot in the gold medal game, Kurtis Marschall goes for gold in the pole vault and the Stingers and Boomers play quarterfinals. Plus canoe sprint, sailing, artistic swimming and track cycling.
On Monday, Sam Welsford’s Olympic campaign got off to an unlucky start with Australia crashing in team pursuit qualifying and the Hockeyroos winning ways met an unfortunate end in the quarterfinals. Wet weather hit Nina Kennedy and Liz Parnov in the pole vault, while our artistic swimmers and kayakers had their first taste of action in Tokyo. The Opals are in to the basketball quarterfinals and the Matildas will play for bronze.
