Clayton Fredericks will lead Australia into battle on day two

Australia’s equestrian – eventing team leads competition after the first day of dressage at the 2012 London Olympic Games.

With WAIS athletes Clayton and Lucinda Fredericks to compete on Sunday, Australia currently holds top ranking after scoring 133.20, to sit narrowly ahead of Beijing gold medallists Germany (137.60) and the USA (150.90).

Evergreen equestrian star and seven time Olympian, Andrew Hoy recorded Australia’s best score, when he earned 41.70 points to individually rank fourth of al day one competitors.

The equestrian – eventing continues on Sunday, with husband and wife athletes Clayton and Lucinda Fredericks attempting to consolidate Australia’s strong position atop the Olympic leaderboard.
