WAIS diving athlete Natasha Cocker has claimed a silver medal at the FINA Grand Prix in Rome, Italy over the weekend.
Cocker combined with Olivia Wright (NSW) in the 10m synchronised competition to finish second behind the Chinese pair of Wang Hao and Kang Li.
Cocker and Wright scored 300.42 in the final with some well practised routines impressing the judging panel. Hao and Li earned gold with a final score of 350.94.
Cocker also competed in the 10m individual event in Rome, finishing 12th in the semi-final stage, after initially impressing in the preliminary round with a solid score of 314.85, which qualified her in fourth spot.
China’s Wang Hao claimed gold with a score of 417.70 in the 10m final.

The Western Australian Elite Junior State Diving Championships will begin this Saturday (June 21) at the World Class Challenge Stadium diving facilities in Perth.
The Group C (13 years and under) girls 1m title will be up for grabs with Katya Bespalova, Bronte Brown, Jayden Cooney, Courtney Press and Georgina Reed all in contention.
Day two of competition (Saturday June 28) will see the Group C (13 years and under) girls compete for the 3m and Platform titles, with Katya Bespalova, Bronte Brown, Jayden Cooney, Courtney Press and Georgina Reed again all vying for the medals.
