Calling all the parents and grandparents out there! WAIS needs your help…
The WAIS Go for 2&5 Community Development Program has been shortlisted for a national award for the work we do in promoting healthy eating and active lifestyles to children. We’re one of four finalists for The Parents Jury Fame Award for Parent’s Choice – an award which congratulates the food marketing campaign that promotes healthy eating in a fun and appealing way.
Our competitors are some heavy hitters including the Socceroos and Weetbix and San Remo and Netball Australia so we need as much help as possible to try and score the award! This is where the parents and grandparents out there come in. Only parents, guardians or grandparents can vote for the awards so if you fit into that category we’d really appreciate it if you voted for us.
You can do so by jumping onto www.parentsjury.org.au. Voting closes on Friday October 30.
The Parents Jury is a online network of parents who have an interest in improving food and physical activity in Aussie kids mainly through advocacy and lobbying on these issues. The Parents Jury is supported by the Cancer Council, Diabetes Aus, YMCA, Aus & NZ Obesity Group.
