Slammed: Dellacqua couldn't claim a set

West Australian tennis star Casey Dellacqua has been bundled out of the Olympic tennis single and doubles tournaments after straight set losses in both competitions.

Featuring in her first Olympic campaign, Dellacqua was outclassed by her Belarusian opponent, losing 6-2 6-2 against the 12th seed Victoria Azarenka.

Dellacqua has enjoyed a successful 2008 on the WTA tour but struggled to come to grips with the 100 percent humidity during her second round match in Beijing.

Dellacqua then paired with Alicia Molik in the doubles but suffered a second loss, going down to the Italian pair of Francesca Schiavone and Flavia Pennetta 6-4 6-4. Schiavone has been a doubles partner of Dellacqua’s this year and obviously exploited her knowledge of her opponent.

Dellacqua will now turn her attention to the US Open starting next month.
