Casey Dellacqua struggled with her serve in the second setWAIS individual athlete support program athlete Casey Dellacqua has continued her tough start to 2009, losing to world number 38 Sara Errani 6-1, 6-2 at the Medibank International in Sydney.

World number 53 Dellacqua will now head to the Australian Open in Melbourne, which commences next week, with just one win from her opening four matches in 2009.

Italian Errani outclassed the Woodvale product in just over an hour, despite Dellacqua having three opportunities to break her serve in the first set.

The loss deprived the 23-year old of a second round match up against number one seed Serena Williams, with Errani now set to face the American on Ken Rosewall Arena.
