Golden Campaign for Little in Cottbus

Gymnast Emily Little won gold and bronze medals at the weekend’s Turnier der Meister World Cup event in Cottbus, Germany.

The 22 year-old powered to victory in her favoured Vault apparatus, before adding bronze on Floor, with a seventh place finish on Beam.

The 2016 Australian Vault champion scored 14.299 in Germany to finish ahead of Hungary pair, Dorina Boeczoego (13.833) and Zsofia Kovacs (13.866).

  

Her first vault attracted 14.766 points, which she followed up with 13.833 with her second and final vault, which included a .1 deduction.

Competing on Floor, Little returned a score of 13.533 for third place, with Germany’s Carina Kroell earning gold on 13.700, with compatriot Leah Griesser second on 13.633.

Rounding out her World Cup events, Little scored 10.766 on Beam for seventh place. Kovacs claimed gold with 13.933.
