Gymnasts Vie for Pacific Alliance Selection

WAIS/AIS gymnasts Dasha Joura (Marangaroo), Lauren Mitchell (Doubleview) and Olivia Vivian (Cottesloe) are attending selections trial for the Senior Pacific Alliance championships in Canberra this week.

A team of six gymnasts will represent Australia at the event, with the team to comprise of three seniors and three juniors.

Junior selection was held last month with WAIS gymnasts Tain Molendijk (Mount Lawley) and Emily Little (City Beach) named in the team.

WAIS Head of Gymnastics Liz Chetkovich said Joura and Mitchell are both frontrunners for selection to the senior team. The Pacific Alliance Championships will be held in the United States of America in March.
