Aleisha Power, Penny Squibb and Karri Somerville have helped Australia in to the quarterfinals, with Australia undefeated through the pool rounds.

Their opening game looked to be ending in a nil all draw, before two late goals in the final five minutes saw the Hockeyroos make a statement of intent.

In what was expected to be a close contest against Belgium, the strength of the Hockeyroos was on display, with back to back goals inside two minutes. A strong defensive gain by Somerville and Squibb held off Belgium to make it two in a row.

A goal from Squbb against South Africa, helped seal a 2-1 victory over South Africa and dominance of pool D.

The Hockeyroos have a week long break before lining up in the quarterfinals.
