DIY snacks – WAIS Water Polo athletes Luci Marsh and Claire Durston prepare some delicious choc-orange bliss balls. They are a good source of protein and fibre, which make them super satisfying.

Ingredients: (Makes 15-20)

– 300g almonds

– 150g pitted dates

– 1/3 cup rolled oats

– 1/3 cup cocoa powder

– ~1/4 cup orange juice

– 150g skim milk powder or Sustagen powder

Optional to coat

– shredded/desiccated coconut

– rolled oats

Method:

1. Blend the almond, dates and oats in a food processor until smooth

2. Add the cocoa, milk powder/Sustagen and juice, and blend until it forms a paste

3. Roll into balls and cover in coconut or oats

4. Enjoy! Store in the fridge or freezer
