Little Selected for Jesolo Competition

Fresh from competing at the American Cup, WAIS gymnast Emily Little has been named on the senior Australian team for the 2015 Trofeo di Citta Jesolo in Italy.

Held from March 25-29, Little will join a six-strong women’s senior team in competing at the annual tournament that is hosted within a provincial area of the famed region of Venice.

Little recently returned from the US where she contested the American Cup in Texas, showing great form in her first competition for the year.

She has in the past week been on national camp in Canberra with the Australian squad and will depart this weekend to prepare for competition.

WAIS head coach Martine George will travel with the group as part of the national assistant coaching staff for Gymnastics Australia.

In further selection news for WAIS, developing international gymnasts Paige James and Yasmin Collier have been named in the squad of five to represent Australia at the Trofeo di Citta Jesolo Junior competition. 

The competition will be the pair’s first overseas performance for the year.
