WAIS gymnast Emily Little was recently selected as one of nine gymnastics to compete in the American Cup, March 7th at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

After successfully returning to international competition, Little has quickly put herself in one of Australia’s top all-around positions, landing herself a spot in this years prestigious American Cup.

Little was selected to compete against eight of the world’s most elite, including a number of world and Olympic champions and 2014 World Champion Simone Biles (USA).

“I feel honored to have been selected to compete at the American Cup,” said Little.

“I’m excited to see how the top gymnastics in the world train and compete.”

After placing second in the Mexican Gymnastics Open last month, Little is excited to see where she stands amongst the worlds best.

“It’s been a while since I’ve competed with the best in the world so it will be good to see where my scores stand,” explained Little.

“I’m hoping to improve my scores and stick all of my routines.”

With just under two months until the competition, Little hopes to upgrade her routines to put herself in a good position to represent Australia at it’s highest.

“I want to put a few upgrades into my routine and compete them for the first time at comp,” said Little.

“I want to show that Australia can compete with the top gymnasts in the world.”
