Vivian who represented Australia at both the 2005 and 2006 World Championships, will join with her new teammates after this year’s Beijing Games.

It is a fantastic opportunity for Vivian to gain a host of new experiences, and is one the diminutive 18 year-old is hoping to grasp with both hands.

“I’m very excited to join the gymnastics program at Oregon State,” Vivian said. “I appreciate the extra effort made by Tanya to come and meet me and my parents here in Australia. I really enjoyed my visit to OSU, everyone seemed so nice and the team is full of awesome people.”

Head Gymnastics Coach at OSU, Tania Chaplin was also enthusiastic about having Vivian on board.

“I am very excited that Olivia chose to join the Oregon State gymnastics family,” Chaplin said. “We saw very clearly on her recruiting trip that her personality will be a wonderful fit with this team.”

“She’ll also bring a wealth of competitive experience with her. Olivia will make an immediate impact on numerous events. The experience and success she has had at the international level will make her an outstanding collegiate gymnast.”
