Four WAIS BMX athletes have been chosen to represent Australia at the 2008 BMX World Championships in China.
Tanya Bailey and Nicole Callisto have been selected in the Women’s elite division with US-based Khalen Young selected in the Men’s elite category.
Lauren Reynolds is the fourth WAIS scholarship holder to stamp her passport, competing in the Junior Women division.
The event is being held in the Chinese city of Taiyuan between May 29 and June 1.
The 2008 BMX World Championships is another significant step in the development of BMX on the International sporting scene, with the sport preparing for its debut at the 2008 Beijing Games.
