The Western Australian Institute of Sport’s new diving program is preparing for two big events in coming weeks, which will be the first “prime” events held since the program began with WAIS.
On June 20-21 WAIS’ diving scholarship holders will compete in the Western Australian Diving Elite Junior State Championships which will be held at Perth’s Challenge Stadium.
The WAIS diving squad will then travel to Sydney to compete in the Diving Australia Elite Junior Championships between July 17-19.
The WAIS diving squad currently consists of: Bronte Brown, Maddison Keeney, Courtney Press, Georgina Reed and Sarah Watson. Katya Bespalova will also be competing, she is currently on trial with the WAIS diving squad.
