WAIS stars Lauren Mitchell, Steve Hooker and Justin Eveson are all in line to be recognised at one of Australia’s most prestigious sports awards evenings, with the trio nominated again in the annual Sports Performer Awards.
Mitchell, who won the Young Performer Award in 2009, will go head to head with Hooker in the Sports Performer of the Year category whilst Eveson is up for the Sports Performer of the Year with a Disability award. A $50,000 cash prize is the carrot for the major award.
The awards, which are presented by The Age and The Sydney Morning Herald, in conjunction with Colonial First State, are unique in that are voted for by Australia’s passionate sporting public.
