The Western Australian Institute of Sport (WAIS) has expanded its Individual Athlete Program (IAP) to include athletes from lacrosse and baseball, marking a new chapter of support ahead of the LA2028 Games.

WA has a proud history in both sports, with strong representation at National and International levels. The addition of lacrosse and baseball athletes to the IAP reflects WAIS’s targeted commitment to supporting high-performance athletes across a broad range of Olympic/Paralympic disciplines.

The athletes supported include:

Baseball – Alex Hall, Kieren Hall, Tim Kennelly, William Sherriff

Lacrosse – Jaesaya Bidwell-Barton, Ashby Dennis, Matthew Heuston, Ashtyn Hiron, Lucas Koczwara, Erin Mitchell, Shannon Mitchell, Thomas Richards, Lachlan Walker, Matthew Wood

WAIS is pleased to provide tailored support through the IAP to help these athletes maximise their performance on the pathway to LA2028.
