Wheelcats Continue Perfect Season
The Be Active Perth Wheelcats have cruised to their 10th consecutive win over the weekend, downing the Brisbane Spinning Bullets 93-39. This moves the Be Active Perth Wheelcats to a perfect ten wins and zero losses for the season.
The win came as three players reached double figures, Robbie Pike leading the way with 29 points in his 27 minutes on the floor. Pike was dominant in also pulling down 10 rebounds and dishing out four assists, shooting the ball at 76% including three from four beyond the arc.
WAIS scholarship holder Adam Deans had 26 points to go along with his 12 rebounds. Captain Shaun Norris (WAIS) contributed 20 while fellow WAIS athlete Kim Robins chipped in with 10 points and seven assists. Full stats at www.nwblaus.com
The Be Active Wheelcats focus for the remaining five games for the season will be settling their starting five and making sure they qualify as many players as they can for finals. With four of their remaining five games being played at home, the Wheelcats will also be looking to consolidate a top two finish and guarantee themselves a double chance in this year’s finals series.
