In alignment with Basketball Australia and Basketball WA, WAIS operates a daily training environment for women’s basketball.
WAIS offers the opportunity for athletes to gain Women’s Basketball Scholarships by achieving the selection criteria outlined in the Selection Guidelines, Criteria and Process.
Part of the National Performance Team the program employs a Head Coach with support from the National Performance Enhancement Team under the leadership of the Performance Enhancement Team Director – National.
Scholarship athletes have access to coaching and the Performance Enhancement Team covering strength and conditioning and sport science and sports medicine services – psychology, sports nutrition and physiotherapy and support outside of sport through athlete wellbeing and engagement.
